Windfall Warehouse Management System is a bar code based software to help movers manage their customers inventory better. With the help of mobile data collection devices, warehouse staff can track inventory along with piece activity for their customers. Individual Customer Profiles Customers data collection requirements are centrally maintained and modified within the system. Data collection requirements will be turned on automatically when the account is activated by the warehouse staff with handheld data collection devices. Standards (Articles) Customers understand the importance of standards. Being able to look at the data and see it collected and sorted correctly is important for understanding what they have in storage. The days of collecting a printer in a single database as HP Printer, Printer, and Printer HP is just not acceptable. Consistency is the key to useful information. Articles enable operations to create standard descriptions for similar items such as systems furniture, seating, casegoods, etc. Using an article allows all of the information in the article template to be attached to an individual item with one scan or keystroke. Detailed data collection is extremely efficient and accurate.
Digital Imaging Imagine how easy it would be to pick items out of storage by simply looking at a picture catalog. With the WINDFALL system, digital images can be attached to a single inventory item record. Images for visual identification of product make inventory retrieval more accurate and faster. Customers can feel more confident in ordering the delivery of items using the visual identification of items.
Component Tracking The system allows users to track components of items, pallets and their contents, containers and what’s inside them, or boxes and the individual files they contain. The color coded component lines allows for easy identification within the inventory window. As with all other processes within Windfall, component tracking is easy to set-up and even easier for the warehouse staff to use. The data collection device walks the user through the process.
Reporting Reporting capabilities are the single most important element of the system. It is the only record of exactly what the mover has in the warehouse. Windfall's Report Generator allows you to create, edit and save reports. This allows the mover to take great pride in getting comprehensive reports in formats customers can work with. Reports can be ordered or filtered by any data field collected. They can also be formatted to support billings, exported into standard file formats, imported into Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, or emailed. Windfall's Automated Reports can be set-up so customers get the information they need automatically. Reports can be run, formatted into a designated format, attached to an email and sent to their computer on a scheduled basis. This function of the system saves time by doing some of the movers work for them. For added capability, Windfall integrates with Crystal Reports®. Crystal is the world standard for high-performance reporting. Use it to create interactive content or publish reports to the Web in a variety of formats.
